Bernie

Hi! My name is Bernie, & I'm a 5 year-old purebred female beagle! I'm an affectionate & loving dog! I am also quiet & reserved! I am an easy-going girl!I can be timid until I get a chance to know you. I've lived with cats & other dogs, & I've been around horses. I'm fine with all of these animals! I live in a outdoor kennel but am looking forward to living in a home with my fforever family! I am cratetrained, but I've always lived outdoors. So my new family will have to work on housetraining me. I will be spayed before I am adopted.

 

Charlie

Hi! My name is Charlie & I'm a wonderful, easygoing 6-7 year old male beagle! I am very loving! And I love to be loved! I especially love to have my tummy rubbed, to be petted, & to sit on my person's lap! I am in a foster home with young children & cats, & I do very well with them! I love to ride in a car! I also love to go for walks! I am already housetrained & neutered, so I am a real catch! I don't really like dry dog food - I only eat wet or moist food.

Chloe

This is a COURTESY POST. Hi! My name is Chloe and I am a 7-8 year old lemon and white beagle. I was found in a ditch by a nice lady who saw me almost get hit by a car. She picked me up, updated my shots and all that stuff and I am ready to be adopted. I am very sweet and affectionate. I weigh 20 pounds and I want to have a family where I can play with another dog or two and have someone to love and love me. I am a foster dog at Judith's home but I want my "furr"-ever home. Clyde

I’m Clyde, a true “Diamond in the Rough”. I’m a tri-colored neutered male, about 6 years old. I am currently living in a foster home with 2 other dogs. I walk well on a leash, and know sit, down, and stay. I am housebroken, and don’t mind getting my nails trimmed, ears cleaned, or going to the vet. I get really excited when I go in the car, and let you know by whining, but I don’t get car sick. I am extremely affectionate, and love to give kisses and to be on your lap. I am very energetic and active at the dog park, and love to chase and howl at other dogs while they’re playing fetch, but when I’m at home I settle down and am basically a little couch potato. I am possessive of my food and toys because I am afraid someone will take them from me but my foster family is working with me on this. Please consider making me part of your family!!

 

Cooper

Hi! My name is Cooper and I'm an adorable poodle/terrier mix - but Nittany Beagle Rescue has made me an honorary beagle! I'm a little guy - I only weigh about 20 lbs. I have lots of energy, but not too much. I would love to go on walks with my new people. I am very affectionate, & would love to sit on your lap! I am also very loyal to my person! I want to be with my person when they are home. Sometimes I sleep in bed with my person, & sometimes I sleep on a dog bed next to my person's bed. I've been bounced around a lot, & am a little insecure. So you have to be patient with me. I am housetrained & extremely bright! I am already neutered. I am living in a kennel & need an adult-only home. Also, I need a home without any other dogs. I am fine with cats, although I may chase them at first, but then I stop. Please think about making me part of you home!

 

Frankie

Hi! I'm Frankie & I'm a lovable male tricolor beagle! I am about 9 years old. I'm an easygoing & affectionate fellow! I love to sit with my people on the couch. At the same time, I also love to be active & play with my people, especially fetch! I'm fine with other dogs, but I've never been around cats. I ride really well in a car! I am housetrained & cratetrained & neutered! In general, I'm pretty quiet! I bark sometimes when I'm out on a walk, but not excessively. Also, I don't mind taking a bath! However, I don't like going to the vet's office & can be cranky when I'm there. l'd do best in a home with no children. I won Best-in-Show at the 2008 Mt. Laurel Kennel Club's Annual Pet Expo on Oct. 18! Everyone loved me! While I have a wonderful outgoing & friendly disposition, I am possessive over what I think is mine. My new family is required to attend training before they take me home - however, the training has already been paid for by Nittany Beagle Rescue, & you can do it in an afternoon, if necessary. Glimmer

Hi! My name is Glimmer & I'm a female beagle! I'm an older gal - about 9 years old. I need a new home because my family is moving to Europe & can't take me with them. I'm an easygoing dog! I am also sociable & affectionate! I'm also fairly passive & submissive. I will walk away if I'm confronted. I am a real sweetheart! I have been exposed to children of all ages & I do fine with them. I love to sniff & bay! I am housetrained, but I do need to be crated when I'm not being supervised. However, as long as you watch me & keep me on a schedule, I should be fine. (I have been living outside in the barn for the past couple of years, & so I may need a little refresher on housetraining when I first go into a home). My family always gave me a biscuit before bedtime - I hope my new family does that too! My family is moving the middle of October. I will have to live in a kennel if I don't have a new family by that time. Please think about making me part of your family!

 

Jinger

Hi! My name is Jinger, & I'm an 8-month old female beagle! I am adorable & loving! I am still a puppy & so I have lots of energy! I love to run! I am also very playful! I love to play tug-of-war & tag! I would love my very own fenced in back yard! I am still a puppy, so I still like to chew things. I have lived with children aged 10 & older, & I'm great with them! I have also been exposed to toddlers & infants. I am good with them, although I will jump up & lick them. Sometimes I jump on the chairs & then the table. So I just need someone to work with me on that. I have lived with another dog & cat, & I'm fine with them! I am housetrained, & usually go out about 4-5 times a day. I will bark at you when I need to go outside. However, I don't like to go potty when on a walk - I just like to smell everything instead. I am also cratetrained & like to sleep in my crate at night (with the door open). Just say "bedtime" & I go right in my crate! I ride well in a car - either sitting on the seat or my person's lap, or in my crate. I am already spayed! I am living in a kennel right now & need a home! Please think about making me part of your family!

Hi! My name is Kemper! I'm about 8 years old. I'm very lovable. Plus, I'm great with children, cats, horses and other dogs! I am housetrained, cratetrained & do well with an invisible fence! Lance

Hi, My name is Lance, & I'm a male tricolor beagle. I'm an older guy, but I've got lots of love to give! I need a new home because my people are busy with full-time jobs and other activities, & so I'm alone most of the time. I'm an affectionate and easy-going fellow! I'm a well behaved dog! I know "sit" & "lay down." I also know "come" most of the time - unless there are some good smells outside to distract me. I do like my food, & don't like other animals coming near it. I can also be protective of food when company is at the house, so it's best to put me in a crate when you have company. I would be a wonderful companion for someone who is home a lot! A home with older children would also be fine.

Hi! My name is Lily & I'm a lemon & white female beagle! I'm an older gal, but I've very active! I'm also affectionate & loving! I have a wonderful beagle bay! My foster mom loves to hear me sing! I'm also very attentiove to my person. I'm an obedient girl. I get along fine with the other dogs in my foster home. I am housetrained, & I go outside about 4 times a day. I've been around children aged 7 and older, & I'm wonderful with them! I love to ride in a car! My foster mom says that I'm adorable the way I sit on the passenger seat! I like to go for walks, but it's best to use a harness. So as you can see, I'm a real catch! Please think about making me a permanent part of you family!

Hi! My name is Rudy! I'm a sweet easy-going male tricolor beagle! Someone dropped my off on the side of the road! Isn't that horrible! And I'm such a nice, wonderful fellow! Why would anyone do that to me??!! I am already neutered! I am living in a kennel right now, so Nittany Beagle Rescue doesn't know for sure if I'm housetrained. Please think about making me part of your family! My picture is coming soon!

Hi, my name is Sherm! I'm a wonderful 8-year old male beagle! I am very out-going & friendly! I get along well with other dogs, cats & horses! I have always lived outdoors, so I need a patient family who is willing to house-train me. I will be neutered before I'm adopted!

 

Simon

Hi! My name is Simon, & I'm a lovable, calm male beagle mix! I look & sound like a beagle, but I'm tall - about 17" at the shoulder. I was found as a stray in an extreme case of neglect - my collar had literally grown into my neck! ( I have the scare to prove it!) But I'm in a foster home now! I'm a fairly young guy - the vet thinks I'm only 3 or 4 years old! I looked older when I was first rescued because my life had been so hard. I've had a great medical check-up & I have a clean bill of health! Two of the cats in my foster home are terrified of me, which is making life difficult. So I need an adoptive home! I'm housetrained. Also, I'm extremely affectionate and loving! I love to play tug-of-war! I get along with other dogs, although I don't like it when they try to take my treats. I get along with cats also. I like to chase them if they run, though. I'm usually quiet & seldom bark, even when people come to the door. I am neutered & up-to-date on shots, also! I'm about 47 lbs. & trim! Please give me a home!

Hi! My name is Sport & I'm an adorable 3-year old male beagle mix! I am living in a kennel, so I really need a home! I am already housetrained, cratetrained & neutered! I am friendly & playful with people! I have lived with teenagers & love them! I am okay with some dogs, but don't like them all, & will nip at the dogs I don't like. (Please don't take me to a dog park! I would rather go on a walk with my person & get all of their attention). I love to take a bath! I love my toys! Please be my hero & give me my forever home!
