Barrett

This is a COURTESY POST. Hi! My name is Barrett and I'm a 3 year old puppy! I'm a pit, but Nittany Beagle Rescue made me an honorary beagle because I desperately need a home! I had a family once, but they didn't take care of me. I attended the 2012 Pit Bull Awareness Day event and did fine with all dogs and people. I would really love a play mate in my new home. I'm good with male and female dogs! I have been updated on vaccines and am neutered. What I need now is a forever home. At least I'm safe and have a comfy bed, but I'm hoping you'll consider me if you're looking for a dog with lots of potential! I seem to like kids (at least the ones I've met, who've been around 10 or 12 years old) and seem to positively interact... Bruce

Hi! My name is Bruce & I'm a real sweetie! I'm a male tri-color beagle, & I'm about 7 years old. I'm a very mellow guy! I'm affectionate & easygoing! My favorite thing to do is to hang out on the couch with my person. I'm also quiet! I have been raised around children of all ages, & I am very good with them. I've lived in a house with cats & other dogs. I'm fine with them, except I am possessive over my food with the other animals. (I survived a house fire a couple of years ago, & ever since then I've been possessive over my food with other animals). I am housetrained & cratetrained. (I'm used to eating in my crate). I am about 20 lbs. overweight, & so I need a diet & some moderate exercise to help me get those extra pounds off! (I used to sleep in bed with my people, but then I got too heavy to get up on the bed. So for the past few years, I've been sleeping on the couch at night). I ride well in a car. In fact, I'm just happy to be with my people, wherever you may go! I'm already neutered! Please give me a chance! I'm living in a boarding kennel now, so please give me a home. I just want a new family to love!

Hello! My name is Chance and I am a 7-8 year old male beagle. I was rescued from a bad situation but despite that, I am as sweet as can be! I do very well with other dogs! I just want love and attention and a soft, safe place to lay my head. Could you be the forever family I've been looking for?! I'm already neutered & I'm working on housetraining in my foster home. However, I need knee surgery & it's very expensive! If you can afford an extra donation to help pay for my surgery, I will be so appreciative!

 

Courage

Hi! My name is Courage, & I'm a male tri-color beagle! I'm an affectionate & loving boy! I'm active & playful! I love to play tug-of-war & jump for my toy squirrel! I'm also very obedient, although I can be a little stubborn at times (but what beagle isn't!). I do need to be kept in a fenced area or on a leash/tie-out when outside. I've been living with a 12-year old child & I do very well the the child! While I don't live with other dogs or cats, I get along with other dogs when I'm out on my walk. When I meet a new dog, I am calm and curious. I like to go for runs with my person for exercise! I am housetrained & crate trained! I don't really tell you when I need to go outside, but I'm very patient. I love to ride in the car! I am already neutered & up-to-date on shots, & I'm about 5.5 years old. Jake

Hi, I'm Jake & I'm a wonderful male blue-tick beagle, & I need a home! I have a birthday coming up on July 1 & I'll be 9 years old young! I'm a loving, easy-going dog! I'm very mannerly. I'm housetrained & crate trained! When I have to go outside, I'll stand at the door & stare at you, or I'll do a circle dance! I've been around children of all ages, however, it would be better if I was in a home with children old enough to know how to treat a dog (7 years or older). I haven't spent much time with other dogs or cats. But when I've been around them, I'll go check them out, play a little, & then move on. For the most part, I ride quietly in the car, although I whine sometimes. I don't have any medical issues (as far as anyone knows) other than taking seizures. But that's been under control for some time now (I take phenobarbitol twice per day; the cost is minimal). So please give me a home! All I need a nice warm house & dog bed to hang out on! Jake is neutered & up-to-date on vaccines.

I also like to play! Plus, I'm great with children, cats, horses and other dogs! I am housetrained, cratetrained & do well with an invisible fence! Kemper has some problems with separation anxiety when his people leave the house, but he does seems to be fine if he lives with at least 1 other dog.

Hi! My name is Lucy & I'm a very sweet 3-4 year old female beagle! I am playful and love to be with people! I'm very attentive to my people, and I'm affectionate and loving! I have lived with young children and do very well with them! I also lived with another dog & I loved to run and play with the dog! I need some work on housetraining. Hi! My name is Rachel & I'm just the sweetest girl! I love to be fussed over! I'm an affectionate & easygoing beagle. I'm a quiet girl also! I'm 6 years old & quite active! I like to play with other dogs. I also like to play tug of war! I haven't been around cats, but I'm probably fine with them. I was raised as a kennel dog, but I'm in a foster home now, & they are working with me on housetraining. I'm making great progress! I also know how to use a doggie door. I like to sleep in a crate - just put a blanket in there & leave the door open, & I'll settle in whenever I need a nap. I will be spayed before I'm adopted. Reese Cup

Hi! My name is Reese Cup, but you can call me Reese for short! I'm a male red and white beagle. I'm very affectionate & loving! I'm a very playful & fun dog! I have lots of energy, especially in the morning! I love attention. When I'm startled, I will jump & I might land anywhere - on your lap or even on your head if you're laying down! I like to gently nibble on my favorite people (they are just little love bites). I really like children & I like it when they come visit me. However, it would be best if I was in a home with only adults who have considerable experience with dogs. I'm good with other dogs & cats. However, I like to be the only one & it would be best if I was the only dog in the home. I need a little work on housetraining, & my foster family is working on that with me. Ripley

This is a COURTESY POST. Ripley is a two year young large mixed breed neutered male. Don't be fooled by his large size, he is very much a puppy in personality. He bounces when he walks, and he loves to bounce around when he plays. He has no leash manners, and is very strong. Ripley would be best with somebody experienced with large breeds. He wants to play tug-o-war with his leash and likes to play with you, and when he does, he will mouth if he gets over-excited. We're currently working on his leash manners and appropriate play with people. He does know how to sit and down, he works really well for toys and is a super smart boy. Ripley would do best as an only dog. This big puppy should go to a home with older children due to his large size and exuberance. Rocky

Hi! My name is Rocky, and I'm a laid-back 6-year old male beagle. I love to lay on my dog pillow and just snore away! I'm also very affectionate, & I love to be fussed over! I'm just the sweetest guy. You can't help but love me! I get along well with other dogs, & like to play with them. But I also enjoy my naps. I haven't been around cats, but I'm probably fine with them. I was raised as a kennel dog, but I'm in a foster home now, & they are working with me on housetraining. I'm making great progress! I also know how to use a doggie door. I'm also learning about stairs. I can climb up the stairs, but I'm still nervous about going down. I am already neutered and up-to-date on shots. Hi! My name is Rocky, & I'm a senior beagle mix. I have been though a lot in my life. I was found as a stray, & some kind people rescued me. I am an affectionate and easygoing dog. I'm also very loving & sociable! I am very mannerly & obedient, and I'm great with other dogs, cats & children! If I have to go outside, I just walk up to you & wimper. I enjoy playing tag & I LOVE snow! Please let me sleep in bed with you at night - that's where I'm happiest. I ride well in a car. I am housetrained. (I was great with that from Day 1!). Hi! My name is Rosemary! I'm a female beagle mix & I desperately need a home! I might be mixed with some boxer - it's hard to say. But I'm small like a beagle! I love to press up against who ever is spending time with me, I just can't seem to get close enough to you! I have lived in a house, and did fine (although I got into the garbage sometimes). I am such a cuddle bug and will snuggle right up on your lap! If you ask me, I will even give you a little kiss on the face! I ride very well in the car and I love looking out the window as you drive! I am fully house trained, and let my foster parents know when I need to go outside. I'm spayed & up-to-date on shots. I'm living in a foster home & doing well! I need a home with no other dogs or cats. Sometimes I bark when I am alone, and so it would be best if I lived in a house (rather than an apartment). Hi! My name is Sandy, & I'm a 5-year old female beagle! I'm an affectionate & loving dog! I love to be petted & to have my belly rubbed! I'm also an active girl. I'm very playful & my favorite games are tag, ball & tug-of-war! I came to Nittany Beagle Rescue through some kind people who saved me from being shot! Can you believe that - I am such an affectionate & loving dog! Now I am living in a boarding kennel & in desperate need of a home! I am housetrained. I like to ride in a car, but I can be rambunctious. I've lived with many dogs before & I do well with them. However, if another dog is aggressive towards me, I won't back down. I am a little possessive over my food. I have been diagnosed with heartworm. Nittany Beagle Rescue will pay for the treatment, but I need a home in which I can recover from the treatment. Hi, my name is Sherm! I'm a wonderful 10-year old male beagle! I am very out-going & friendly! I get along well with other dogs, cats & horses! I have always lived outdoors, so I need a patient family who is willing to house-train me. I am already neutered!

 

Tally

This is a COURTESY POST. Tally is not a beagle, but he's getting an honorary spot on the site to hopefully find him a loving foster or forever home! Tally was found as a stray so his history is unknown. Yes Tally is a unique dog - he is missing one eye, but he acts very much like a normal canine! Tally is a young, male pit bull, already neutered, loving, and tiny for the breed (40-50lbs). He is very cuddly, if you're on his level - expect kisses and a lap dog! Tally likes to be near you, and loves to place his paws on you as if to give you hugs. He has no food or resource aggression, but could use work on his leash manners. Tally will sit for treats and take them gently, but would benefit from general obedience work. He's great with all handling - ears, paws, being picked up and hugged. Hi! My name is Titus & I'm an adorable male beagle! I'm about 7 years old, & I'm a total sweetheart! Everyone loves me! I will love you back many times over! I'm very affectionate! I love to sit on my person's lap! I'm wonderful with children, other dogs & cats! In fact, I would do best living in a house with at least one other dog. I love to play with other dogs, & I enjoy being outside on my walks! I am housetrained - I go to the door or look for my person if I need to go outside. I am cratetrained. (I prefer to sleep in my crate at night). I am afraid of thunderstorms, & will howl during them. I am already neutered! Please think about adopting me!
