Bio at the Time of Adoption

Hi! My name is Charlie! I'm a very sweet 7-year old male tricolor beagle! I need a new home because my person has a new job and now works very long hours, and isn't able to adequately care for me. I'm an affectionate fellow! I'm also pretty active! I like to play ball! I love to hang out on the couch! I've been raised with young children, & I'm great with them! I've lived with a cat, & I love the cat! I am housetrained and crate trained. I usually go outside 4-5 times a day. I will bark when I need to go outside. I ride well in a car. The best way to get me to do something is to use treats. I have separation anxiety, and so I need to be crated when no one is home (preferably in a plastic crate not a metal crate). Even so, I need someone who isn't gone long hours - at least not at first. In my prior home, I was fine if my person was gone 8 hours a day, but my new people may need to work up to that. I do not like to share my food or high value treats (like rawhides or bones) with other dogs. So if other dogs are in the house, I need to be fed separately, and high value treats are managed. But I don't mind if my people or the cat get in my food. Charlie is living in a kennel, and is very insecure. So he needs a home ASAP! Charlie's adoption fee has been paid by a generous donor.
