Hi! My name is Mufasa - I was named after the character on the Lion King! I'm a 10-month old male tricolor beagle. I'm extremely energetic & strong! One of the Nittany Beagle Rescue volunteers called me a cyclone with fur! LOL I'm at that stage in my life where I need a lot of exercise! A fenced yard is preferred since I have lots of energy to burn! I can be skittish around cars & traffic, so a home that isn't close to traffic is best. I like some treats, but not all treats. So I can be hard to train - unless you use the right treats! (One trainer had so much trouble training me that they returned the money for my training sessions!) Mufasa definitely needs a home who is experienced with young energetic dogs & who has experience training their dogs to be good members of the family. Patience on the part of the adopter is a must! Mufasa spent some time with another older dog & he was great with him! We wouldn't be surprised he will chase a cat. Mufasa is at that puppy biting stage, and needs an experienced adopter who is used to working with a dog on that issue. Mufasa is neutered & up-to-date on vaccines.
