Tobie

Bio at the Time of Adoption

This is a COURTESY POST. Tobie is a 9 year old neutered beagle who weighs 27 pounds. He came to us with his sister, Cherry, and they are very bonded to each other and have been through a very rough year. They have been without a home for too long and desperately want to find a family to take them both. Tobie is very people-focused and will follow you from room to room. He loves to sit in your lap or just get as close to you as possible. If you are outside, he’ll go out with you, but when you go in he wants in as well. Tobie thinks he is a guard dog, so if he hears a door bell or sees anything outside he will bark to let you know. Once he has done his job, he will warmly greet them and insist on being petted. Tobie requires daily medication to control his seizures and to aid his digestion. Because of his digestive issues, he also needs a special food (a high protein grain-free diet) and can only have approved treats in moderation. He is fine once he takes his medicine and will give you lots of love, kisses, and attention. Tobie is well-behaved in the house and can be left alone without any problems. He is house trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. Tobie loves children, others dogs, and cats. He really enjoys going for car rides. At his foster home, he sleeps in his crate throughout the night. Tobie is very friendly and affectionate and will make a great family pet.
