Nova · Adopted 2024
![]() Bio at the Time of AdoptionUPDATED 4/26/2024 Hi! My name is Nova & I'm an adorable 6-month old beagle pup! My foster home is calling me Nellie. I should actually be called Dora The Explorer, though! I'll dash or squeeze my way out the door every chance I can! So I need a home where the door does not open directly to an unfenced in area. I might be a mixed with a little puggle, or some other breed. (I have a bit of an underbite). I'm a super sweet girl! I really love to be held. I'm good with other dogs, but I can also be timid with them until I get to know them. That being said, I would do best in a home with another young dog (1.5-2 years) who will play with me & is housetrained. I would do best in a home with a securely fenced in yard. I'm also timid with people at first. I've had limited exposure to young children & I've been good with them when I was around them. However, I'm just getting at that age where I'll nip if I'm challenged, & so I need a home with experience training young dogs. I'm paper trained but will have occasional accidents off the paper. If you take me for a walk, I'll probably do my business, though! (Although I may still have an occasional accident in the house if you don't take me out when I need to go out). I love to go for walks on a leash! I'm small - only 20 lbs. However, I'll probably grow a little more. I'm up-to-date on vaccines & spayed. I whine loudly when you put me in a crate, & so I need to go to a home that does not share any walls with another home. In my foster home I go into a crate when no one is home & I do settle down after a while. I've been crated for as long as 5 hours - although I will howl off & on. At night, I prefer to sleep in bed with my person. I like to hang out on the couch also. I might have an accident overnight. Anyways, I'm looking for my forever home!
