UPDATED 4/27/2024 Hi! My name is Mia & I'm a beautiful 10-month old female beagle/blue heeler mix. I'm super sweet and I'm a very friendly girl! I'm an active & energetic dog, typical of young beagles my age. I'm playful! I like toys! I love to play fetch, ball & tug-of-war! When being walked, I like to hold my leash in my mouth sometimes! I'm so adorable! But I also like to cuddle in a blanket! And I love to be petted! I'm young & at that stage where I like to chew on things. So you just need to make sure I have appropriate toys for me to chew on & to direct me to those. I'm housetrained; I was on a very strict schedule & I did well with that. (I went out for a long walk 3 times a day, plus maybe another potty break as needed). I'm crate trained & I love my crate. When I come out of the crate after being in it for a while, I'll run around the house & around furniture like it's an obstacle course! Nittany Beagle Rescue thinks I would love agility training! I want to play with other dogs. I haven't been around cats, but when they've walked by on my walks, I didn't pay attention to them. I do great on a leash - although sometimes I get excited & want to play! I've been around children as young as 6 years of age, & I'm fine with them (although I'll jump on people & would probably knock a small child down). I'm a beagle & so I'll run off if I'm not on-leash or in a fenced yard. I don't care for long car rides & I got sick after about 1 hour on car ride (I was crated). It's possible I wouldn't get sick if I sat on someone's lap. I'm a relatively quiet dog. I weigh about 30 lbs. I'm up-to-date on vaccines & will be spayed before I'm adopted.
