Bio at the Time of Adoption

Meet Sugar, a gentile southern lady. She is petite, coming in at just 8.5 lbs and 14’ long. Sugar is a bit timid – no doubt to the stress in her first 8.5 years of life. She is looking for someone to sit next to all day, to sleep with at night, and who will take her for short daily walks or toodles around the yard. A car ride here and there would also be lovely! She wants to be with you all the time and hopes, one day, to work up the courage to sleep on your lap. She is hoping someone will be consistent and help her build her confidence while sheltering her from scary things when possible. She has met many neighbors and their children and will let them pet her but it is scary. She gets along well with her foster brother, a sweet old beagle. They mostly ignore each other ??. She has a few toys that she nibbles but doesn’t play with much. She has made progress on house training but does well in her crate. She has an adorable hoarse little bark that she will use to tell you someone is knocking at the door or that she wants her supper or to go out. She will beg for people food but has a delicate constitution so best not to indulge. Could you be the quite, laid back house to love this little lady? Suga’ really needs to be someone’s baby. Wardrobe, crate, bed, and other supplies will convey to help ease her transition.
