Hi! My name is Bonita & I'm a very sweet 4-year old female beagle! Everyone calls me Bo, for short! I'm on the small size - probably about 20 lbs. or so. I love people! I'm a gentle girl! I love to cuddle in bed with my person! I'm also a quiet beagle. If you have a fenced yard, I would love to run around it! But if you don't, that's ok. I'm happy to just walk on a leash with my person! Bo has been around other dogs, and is fine with them for the most part. However, she seems to be dominant with other dogs, and may do best as an only dog. She has been around cats to a limited extent & seems to be fine with them. Bo has been around children as young as 4 years old & is quite gentle with them. However, she wasn't raised around young children & can be skittish with them at first, so at this point, Nittany Beagle Rescue will place Bo in a home with children 10 and older. She is also pushy with food & would probably grab food from a young child's hands if they were walking around with it. Bo lived most of her life in a dog pen, & so she needs some work on developing house manners. She has spent the past several months in a home with a doggie door, & she seems to be housetrained. Bo is spayed & up-to-date on shots & microchipped. Bo is living in a boarding kennel & is anxious to find her forever home! Click on Bo's page to see a different photo of her!
