Hi! My name is Bella & I'm a 3-year old beagle. I'm an outgoing & friendly girl! I'm affectionate & I like to hang out on the furniture with my person. Sometimes I'll sit on your lap! I like to play tug-of war! I've lived with another dog & did great! Also, I'm great with children! I've lived with children as young as 7 years, & a sometimes 4-year old would visit. However, I will run out the door, & I do not come when called (like a typical beagle). So I need a home where doors are kept securely shut, & aren't held open for long. I go to my crate when I'm feeling scared or timid. I get skittish if I think I'm in trouble. I haven't had much experience riding in a car, but when Nittany Beagle Rescue picked me up, I rode in a crate on the back seat & was good (although I paced some).I haven't been around cats, but I'm such a good natured girl, I'm probably fine with them. I am housetrained. Sometimes I'll ring a bell on the door when I need to go out. (I come with my own bell!) Other times, I may get on my person's lap & kiss your face if I have to go outside. I also have accidents in my crate - but not all the time. So I need a home where people are home a lot so they can patiently work with me on housetraining. I probably need multiple long walks (longer than 20 minutes) each day or free access to a securely fenced in back yard in order to be housetrained. I am spayed & up-to-date on shots.
