Bio at the Time of Adoption

Hi! My name is Cooper, and I'm a wonderful 7-year old male tricolor beagle. I love to be with people! I'm great with other dogs! And I just love to be outside! I'm big-boned for beagle & a little overweight (I weigh over 50 lbs.!) I like to sleep under my people's bed or on a couch at night. In fact, my safe space is under the bed. I really like living with another dog. But I love to be with my people. I become anxious if my person is gone for more than 4 hours. Like many beagles, I'm possessive over high value food (like people food) & rawhides. But I'm fine with dog food. I need a home with no children, or one in which the children are old enough to know how to treat me responsibly and to respect my boundaries. I will get into the garbage can, so it's best the garbage can has a top that locks or is shut away. I ride well in a car on short trips, but I get upset on long trips. I'm neutered, housetrained, & up-to-date on vaccines. I used to be crated during the day (for about 6 hours), and I was fine. (But I haven't been crated for about 3 years). When I need to go outside, I will sit at the door, or will scratch it. I'm not good with chickens. Please make me part of your family! Click on my page to see a different photo of me!
