Bio at the Time of Adoption

Meet Molly! She is a tricolor beagle & about 2 years old. She is such a sweet & loving girl and desperately needs a home! She was found with Jake, who is also available for adoption. When Molly & Jake first arrived at Nittany Beagle Rescue, they seemed very bonded. But we’ve had them for awhile & they are fine apart – as long as they get lots of attention from their people. Molly loves to be with people, but she is also very active & energetic! Molly is a playful, happy dog! She loves to play tag. Molly is good with other dogs & cats. She has been exposed to children and seems quite good with them. However, she was found as a stray and so we don’t know how she would be with very young children (under 7), and so we will place her in a home with children aged 8 & older who know how to treat a dog, or a home with no children. We think Molly lived outside, & so she will need work on housetraining and house manners. Sometimes she will whine when she needs to go outside. Molly will run away is she gets loose, as most beagles do. So she needs to be in a securely fenced yard or on leash when outside. Molly likes to sleep in bed with her person at night. Molly responds well to praise. Molly is already spayed & up-to-date on vaccines. She is about 20 lbs.; she is small, but also very underweight & we are working on putting some weight on her.
