In Memory

Gracie was adopted along with her mother, Sasha, on November 8, 2013. Her mother Sasha passed away in my arms on April 1, 2018, after a long fight with cancer. My "Baby Girl", Gracie took her final breaths in my arms on July 28,2019 after her fight with cancer.

On the day both Gracie and Sasha were adopted - I thought I was rescuing them. It was completely the opposite - they both have rescued me. My clean date from active drug use is June 5, 2013. Barely 6 months clean and sober at the time of their adoption, they were with me through my journey in recovery. But for the Grace of God - I am 6 + years clean and sober. Thank you Sasha and Thank you Gracie. Gracie is with her mother now, in Heaven. Resting peacefully, looking down upon me as an Angel.

I miss you so very much "Baby Girl" and I will never forget you. Below is a passage I received from a friend in AA after you passed:

Gracie will never be forgotten.
What you and Gracie were for one another, and what you gave one another ...can never be taken away.
You received a great gift through her ... and she through you.
She helped give yourself back to you ... and helped grow.
She will continue to do that even in her absence, if you let her, with the help of AA and your Higher Power.
Be Blessed my friend. My condolences.
Rick B.

Gracie - I am Blessed. My Spirit is full of Love and Joy for you. You are forever in my Heart. I love you and miss you dearly.

Losing a beloved pet is so very hard on all of us. They have given us so much love through the years when they were with us here on earth and now we live with their wonderful memories.

Tax-deductible donations of $25.00 can be made in memory of a beloved pet. By memorializing your pet or a friend's or family member’s pet in this way, you help Nittany Beagle Rescue give beagles who are in shelters or with owners who can no longer keep them a second chance at a wonderful life.
